Terms of Service

This summary is a reading aid. The sections below are the agreement itself, and they are what applies.

1. About these terms

These terms are an agreement between you and Rich Plugins SL ("ReviewsPlugin", "we", "us"), a company registered in Spain under CIF B19806272, with its registered office at Plaza San Cristóbal, 14, 03002 Alacant/Alicante, Spain.

They apply whenever you use reviewsplugin.com, the ReviewsPlugin application, our API, or any widget we serve. By creating an account or using the service you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the service.

We may change these terms. While ReviewsPlugin is free, we may change them at any time and without notifying you in advance. The date at the top always shows the current version, and continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it — so please look at this page from time to time. If you do not agree with a change, stop using the service and delete your account. The one thing we will not do without asking you first is charge you money: see section 5.

2. Who can use ReviewsPlugin

ReviewsPlugin is a tool for businesses. To use it you must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract. If you use it on behalf of a company or another person, you confirm that you are authorised to accept these terms for them, and "you" then means that organisation as well.

3. Your account and workspaces

We do not use passwords. You sign in with a one-time code sent to your email address, which means whoever controls your inbox controls your account. Keep it secure, and tell us immediately at support@reviewsplugin.com if you believe someone else has access.

Your work lives in a workspace. You can invite other people to a workspace and give them a role. You are responsible for what the people you invite do in your workspace, and for removing them when they should no longer have access. A workspace owner can delete the workspace, including for the other members in it.

You must give us an email address that is genuine and that you control, and keep it current.

4. What the service does

ReviewsPlugin lets you connect business locations from review platforms, see and reply to the reviews for those locations, draft replies with AI, collect reviews on your own website, and publish reviews as a widget on any website using a snippet we give you.

We may add, change or remove features. Where a change removes something you rely on, we will give account holders reasonable notice by email unless the change is required for security, for legal reasons, or by a third-party platform we depend on.

5. The public beta

ReviewsPlugin is currently in public beta, and we have not fixed how long that will last. This has specific consequences, and you should read them before you build anything important on top of the service.

• It is free while the beta lasts, on these terms. Every current feature is included at no charge, with no card required, no seat limits and no cap on locations — for as long as you keep to these terms, including keeping the "Verified by ReviewsPlugin" link on your widgets (section 7).
• It may change or break. Beta software carries defects. Features may be added, changed or withdrawn, and we do not promise any particular level of availability, performance or support during the beta.
• Free during the beta is not free forever. These conditions belong to the beta period. After the full release we may revise them — change what the free plan includes, introduce limits, change which features stay available, or introduce paid plans.
• There is no pricing yet. We have not set prices, and we make no commitment about them in these terms. When we introduce paid plans we will publish the pricing and update this page.
• We will not charge you by surprise. Neither the end of the beta nor a change to these terms will, by itself, take money from you. A free account does not turn into a paid one. If continuing to use ReviewsPlugin ever requires a paid plan, we will tell you what the new conditions are, and you will only be charged once you have chosen that plan and agreed to its price.
• Export before you leave. You can export your data to CSV at any time, and we recommend you do so before ending your use of the service.

6. Connecting review platforms

You may only connect a business location, page or profile that you own or are authorised to manage. Connecting one you are not entitled to manage is a breach of these terms and we will end the connection when we learn of it.

When you connect Google, Facebook, Yelp or Tripadvisor, you are also bound by that platform's own terms, and your use of their data is subject to their rules. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or controlled by any of them, and their trademarks belong to them.

We depend on those platforms' official APIs. If a platform changes, restricts or withdraws access, some features may stop working, in whole or in part, at short notice. We will do what we reasonably can, but we cannot promise continued access to data we do not control, and a platform withdrawing access is not a failure on our side.

You can disconnect a location at any time. Doing so ends our access to that platform on your behalf.

7. The ReviewsPlugin link on your widget

Every widget we serve on the free plan carries a small "Verified by ReviewsPlugin" link back to our website. It arrives as part of the snippet you copy, and it is what the free plan costs: it is how people find us, and it is what pays for the service you are not paying for. Keeping it is a condition of using ReviewsPlugin free of charge during the beta.

Keeping that link visible next to your widget is your responsibility. This applies to every widget you publish, whether you built it from the public builder without an account or connected your own locations and built it in the app. You agree not to remove it, hide it, cover it, shrink it until it cannot be read, move it away from the widget it belongs to, or change where it points.

If the link is removed or made invisible, we may disable the widget until it is put back. Where we reasonably can, we will contact you first.

We may offer plans that include the option to turn the link off. Where that applies to your account, it will be stated in the plan you take.

8. Honest use of reviews

Review content is regulated. In the EU, presenting reviews in a misleading way is an unfair commercial practice, and the responsibility sits with the business publishing them — that is you, not us. Using ReviewsPlugin, you agree that:

• You will not write, buy, commission or publish fake or fabricated reviews, and you will not exchange reviews with other businesses.
• You will not offer any reward that is conditional on the review being positive.
• You will not publish reviews of a business other than the one they are about, or edit a review's text to change its meaning.
• If you use our minimum rating filter — the setting that shows only reviews at or above a chosen star rating — you will not present the result as if it were all of your reviews. Where you display a filtered selection, you are responsible for making that clear to the people reading it, and for meeting whatever disclosure your local law requires.
• You will not misrepresent how the reviews you publish were collected or verified.

We may remove content or suspend an account where we have good reason to believe this section has been broken.

9. Collecting reviews and sending review requests

If you use ReviewsPlugin to collect reviews on your own website, or to email your customers asking for a review, you decide what is collected and from whom. In data protection terms you are the controller and we act on your instructions — this is set out in our Privacy Policy.

That makes some things your responsibility:

• Having a lawful basis to contact the people you contact, and holding their contact details lawfully.
• Telling reviewers what you do with what they submit, and honouring their requests about it.
• Not using our review requests for marketing, newsletters or anything other than asking for a review.
• Honouring unsubscribes. We include a one-click unsubscribe link in every review request, and you must not attempt to work around it.

We may suspend sending on your behalf if we see patterns of complaints, bounces or spam reports, because those affect deliverability for everyone using the service.

10. AI-generated replies

The product can draft a reply for you using an AI provider. Drafts are suggestions, nothing more.

• You are responsible for what you publish. Read a draft before it goes out. Once published, the reply is yours and appears under your business name.
• AI output can be wrong. It may be inaccurate, inappropriate to the situation, or repetitive. We do not warrant that a draft is suitable for any purpose.
• If you switch on automatic replies, you accept that replies will publish without you reading each one first, and you remain responsible for them.
• Generation is subject to a fair-use limit of 100 drafts per day per account.

11. Acceptable use and fair limits

You agree not to:

• Break the law, infringe anyone's rights, or use the service to publish content that is defamatory, harassing, obscene or otherwise unlawful.
• Attempt to access accounts, data or parts of the service that are not yours.
• Scrape, crawl or bulk-extract data from the service, or work around rate limits, quotas or access controls.
• Probe or attack the service, upload malware, or interfere with its operation or with other customers' use of it.
• Resell, sublicense or white-label the service as your own without our written agreement.
• Reverse engineer the service, except to the extent the law says you may.

Where you may not put our widget. Our name and a link to our website travel with every widget, so we care where they end up. You may not install a ReviewsPlugin widget on, or use the service in connection with, a website that offers or promotes:

• pornography, sexually explicit material or sexual services;
• illegal drugs, controlled substances or drug paraphernalia;
• weapons, explosives or their components, where their sale is restricted;
• gambling, where it is offered without the licence the relevant law requires;
• hate speech, harassment, violent extremism or content that exploits or endangers children;
• counterfeit goods, stolen data, malware, or services intended to break into systems;
• anything else that is unlawful where you or your visitors are.

We may also decline to serve a widget on a site we simply do not want our name on. That judgement is ours to make.

Reasonable limits apply so that one account cannot degrade the service for others. Today those include 100 AI drafts per day and 100 MB of uploads per workspace, alongside request rate limits. We may adjust these limits, and we will not do so in a way that makes a plan you are paying for unusable.

12. Your content and our intellectual property

What is yours stays yours. Your business information, your uploads, your widget configurations and the reviews you collect through ReviewsPlugin on your own website remain your property. We claim no ownership over them. Reviews retrieved from a platform you connected are different: we do not store them, only cache them temporarily, as our Privacy Policy explains.

To operate the service you give us a licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt for display, and publish that content — but only for the purpose of providing ReviewsPlugin to you and only where you direct it. This licence is worldwide and royalty-free because a widget can be viewed anywhere, and it ends when you delete the content or your account, except where we must keep something to comply with the law.

What is ours stays ours. ReviewsPlugin — the software, the widgets, the interface, the documentation and the ReviewsPlugin name and logo — belongs to Rich Plugins SL. These terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service while this agreement is in force, and nothing more.

If you send us ideas or feedback about the product, we may use them freely and without obligation to you. We will not identify you as the source without your agreement.

13. Availability

We aim to keep ReviewsPlugin available and working, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may take it down for maintenance, and we will try to do so at quiet times and to give notice where the work is planned.

We are not responsible for failures caused by things outside our reasonable control — network and hosting outages, third-party platform failures or restrictions, denial-of-service attacks, changes in law, or other events of force majeure.

14. Ending this agreement

You can leave at any time. Disconnect your locations, or delete your account from the product's settings. Deletion asks you to confirm with an emailed code, then removes your account, your workspaces, your widgets, your uploads and the tokens for every platform you had connected. Widgets you had published will stop working. Deleted data can remain in our backups for a limited period afterwards; the Privacy Policy says how long.

We may end your access at any time. While the service is free, we may suspend or close your account, disable your widgets, or stop providing the service to you, at our own discretion, with or without cause and without prior notice.

In practice we do this when you have broken these terms, when a platform we depend on or the law requires it, when your use threatens the security or stability of the service, or when we do not want our name on the site a widget appears on. Where we reasonably can, we will contact you first and give you a chance to put things right. Please do not rely on that: export anything you would not want to lose.

We may also discontinue the service as a whole, or end the beta. Where we can, we will give account holders notice by email so that you can export your data first.

Sections that by their nature should survive the end of this agreement — intellectual property, disclaimers, liability, indemnity and governing law — continue to apply.

15. Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we exclude all implied warranties, including those of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, that review data from third-party platforms will be complete or accurate, or that AI drafts will be suitable to publish.

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of revenue, loss of goodwill, loss of business opportunity, or loss or corruption of data.

Our total liability to you for all claims arising out of or relating to the service, in aggregate, is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose, or €100. During the beta the service is free, so in practice this is €100.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot be excluded or limited under Spanish or EU law. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are not affected.

16. Indemnity

You will defend us against, and cover, any third-party claim, loss or reasonable cost that arises from your content, from your use of the service in breach of these terms, or from your breach of the law — including claims about reviews you published or people you contacted. We will tell you promptly about any such claim and will not settle it without your agreement.

17. Privacy and data protection

How we handle personal data is set out in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms. Where we process personal data on your instructions — reviews you collect and review requests you send — you are the controller and we are the processor, as described there.

18. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by Spanish law.

If you use ReviewsPlugin as a business, the courts of Alicante, Spain have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these terms.

If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live, and you may bring proceedings in the courts of that country.

Please talk to us first. Most problems are quicker to solve by email than in court.

19. General

• If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.
• If we do not enforce a right straight away, we do not give it up.
• You may not transfer your rights under these terms without our agreement. We may transfer ours if our business is sold or reorganised, and we will tell you if that happens.
• These terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the whole agreement between us about the service.
• These terms are written in English, and the English version is the one that applies.
